Dear God, please have mercy on us a nation. Not because we deserve it. We
don't. We don't even deserve the mercy you have already shown us. We don't
deserve any further withholding of your judgment and justice. As a nation we
have made worshiping You a public offense. We have driven You out of our courts
and out of our schools. We have glorified every kind of perversity. We have
killed our young.
But even those who call ourselves by Your name have made our own personal
comfort far more important than showing Your love and proclaiming Your truth
boldly and publicly; no matter the risk. We have ceased being salt and light to
this nation. We haven't shown your love. Even when we know and proclaim Your
truth, it is so often with a loveless spirit. We have devised and followed
doctrines that justify our own laziness and disobedience. Such as the last days
teachings that tickle our ears. "God has decreed that because it's the
last days 'things have to get worse'". "But, don't worry, He'll
rapture us out of this world before the worst comes."
How selfish.
Dear God, please have mercy on us as a nation. Pour out your Spirit on all
flesh within this nation - for judgment, for purifying, for repentance, for
love. Show us Your glory.

In reading Caroline Glick's column, I was reminded of the book of Esther.
Mordecai, Esther's cousin, knows that, by the decree of King Xerxes, all the
Jews are under a death sentence. Esther, being insulated in the palace hasn't
heard. So Mordecai tells Esther "Don't think for a moment that because
you're in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. If you
keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise
from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if
perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?"
God has preserved the Jews time after time, even through tremendous hardships
and against tremendous odds. He will do it again. The question is, will the
United States stand with Israel in its struggle for survival? Or will, under
Obama, the United States turn its back on Israel and perhaps even join its
enemies. I shudder to think of the consequences for us if we decide to join
with Islam and the American left in its hatred for Israel.
But apart from national repentance, I don't hold much hope. Before the election
I compiled a profile - 'A Vet Looks at Barack Obama' that made it obvious that
his presidency would be a serious threat to the United States.
Is he Muslim? The Muslims think so. Is he in support of Sharia law? He
supported Odinga in his campaign promise to implement Sharia law in Kenya. Is
he a radical leftist? Bill Ayers thinks so. Is he corrupt? Just look at the
friends and allies he's accumulated - including his current cabinet. Is he an
illegal alien? He won't show his birth certificate and his Kenyan grandmother
says she was present at his birth in Kenya. Is he a pathological narcissist? Read

Is George Soros his puppet master? The evidence is clear that George Soros
sponsored Obama's rise to power.

Pathological narcissists can get people to worship them, with devastating

He was chosen because of his grievances against this society. George Soros,

That was Hillary's fundamental flaw. She shared their vision and their goals.

of the Democratic Party'. George Soros has just one goal; the total destruction
of the United States - although he wouldn't put it that way. George Soros has
dreams of a utopian 'Open Society' that is one with the world. He considers the
'Closed' (i.e. Nationalistic) society of the United States to be a serious
threat to world peace and harmony. He set himself to take it down - financially
and militarily. And he's close to succeeding. Read the book. Find out for
yourselves.
If you want to know what we can expect, then read history. There are plenty of
precedents. Russia under Stalin, North Korea, Cambodia under Pol Pot. It's like
Laura Hollis said in her comment: "Only those with their heads up their
ars*s' believed that he was a centrist".

Poor Hillary thought this was her turn to be president. After all, she, Bill,

Liberal today is another one those terms that has been redefined from what it
meant when I was young. Then it referred to someone who had a heart for others
and had a certain social conscience.
Today, it refers to an all out radical socialist. Someone, usually from an
abused childhood, who hates this nation and all it stands for.
Tendays Komyathy in his amazon.com review of David Horowitz's autobiography
'Radical Son' put it well:
"I had always been disappointed by the memoirs of political figures on
the left because of their inability to reflect on themselves---to even attempt
to understand why they had seen the world the way they had, and how their
visions had affected who they were. I did not think this omission accidental.
If radicalism was a displacement of personal grievance, it wasn't surprising
that radicals could not confront their interior lives. 'The Left lived by its
radical myths, which were crucial to its sense of moral superiority, of being
chosen as humanity's moral vanguard.'"
For them, this world stinks, and the United States stinks worst of all. It has
to be destroyed, so that they can build a new world, a socialist utopia. They
have such high dreams. But like Horowitz says in 'Radical Son', "Every
socialist state created by Marxists had been transformed into an economic
sinkhole and a national prison. There were no exceptions."
I see no reason to believe it will any different this time either unless we
take 2 Chronicles 7:14 seriously.

I like what Ann wrote in her book "Godless, the Church of
Liberalism".
"It’s very important for the Democrats to control the public schools.
John Dewey, the founder of public education in America, said, “You can’t make
Socialists out of individualists – children who know how to think for
themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where
everyone is interdependent.” You also can’t make socialists out of people who
can read, which is probably why Democrats think the public schools have nearly
achieved Aristotelian perfection. For Lenin it was “Give me you four-year-olds,
and in a generation I will build a Socialist state.” For Hitler it was “Let me
control the textbooks and I will control the state.” For the Democrats it’s
“Let us control the schools and in a generation no one will be able to read.”
From what I can tell, the purpose of education for the last 50 years has been
two fold. First, and most important, to increase the power of the Democratic
party and their allies in the NEA. Second, and almost as important, to
indoctrinate our youth so that they become the 'right' kind of adults. You
know, the kind of adults who would vote for Obama without knowing anything
about him. Because it was only fair.
I know, there are good teachers, and I'm grateful for them. But the
overwhelming vision from above for education, especially higher education, has
been to train our youth in politically correct thought, or perhaps I should say
thoughtlessness. No God, no prayer, no purpose, no ultimate truth, everything is
relative.
Let's make them all, as C.S. Lewis would say, into men without chests - men
without courage and integrity because they lack a moral center.

thought of ourselves as self-effacing, but in fact we were arrogant. We

unwilling to perform the deeds we did. That was why we didn't listen and
couldn't see. Like all radicals, we were intoxicated by our own virtue."
Obama shows that same self-righteousness and arrogance. Perhaps the best
analysis I've read is by Ali Sina: "Understanding Obama, the Making of a
Fuehrer". He writes: "If we look into the childhood of all
narcissists, we can see that invariably they were abused. Saddam was born to a
widow who after losing her husband and her 12 year old son was so distressed
that she attempted suicide. Saddam Hussein in his own official biography
recounts his unhappy childhood. Hitler was the son of a very abusive man who
would beat him regularly. From Saddam to Osama, to Hitler, to Stalin, to
Khomeini, to Mao and to Kim Jong Ill, it is wounded childhood that causes NPD.
Obama’s chaotic childhood and his continuous struggle to find his identity make
him a prime candidate for NPD."

So we are being 'saved' by messiahs whose aggrieved sense of self worth makes
them project that grievance onto society as a whole. Is this really what we

I was reading the reviews of "Radical Son" by David Horowitz on
Amazon.com. I was just curious as to how he became a conservative.
Tendays Komyathy in his review writes: "Mr. Horowitz couldn't continue
to support Castro after it was apparent to all but the blind that "Cuba
had been transformed into a totalitarian state, its economy ruined by socialist
plans, its jails filled with political dissenters." "Nor was the
tragedy of Cuba unique. Every socialist state created by Marxists had been
transformed into an economic sinkhole and a national prison. There were no
exceptions."
There will be no exceptions here either if the plans of George Soros' and his
'Shadow Party' are fully implemented.
Dutch Sheets in his post election letter wrote: "What Can We Expect? What are some of the
judgments we can expect on our nation from this election?
* More economic woes
* More violence in an already violent nation
* Disease and death (satan, who is responsible for these things will have
greater inroads to our nation.)
* Natural disasters (weather-tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, drought; fires;
earthquakes; etc.)
* Terrorism (they will fear us much less now)
* War, perhaps on our own soil
* Judgments relating to the Court. The stacking of the Supreme Court against
the sanctity of life and God’s influence on America will occur, which will in
turn cause the shedding of more innocent blood, more rejection of God’s laws
and the stealing from us of our godly heritage-all of which will perpetuate a
cycle of even more judgment."
So, it doesn't look good from a purely historical perspective, seeing what has
always happened under socialist governments. And it doesn't look good from a
spiritual perspective. Seeing what happens to nations that reject the God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I just finished "The Shadow Party - How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and
Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party' by David Horowitz and
Richard Poe. In the last chapter 'The Velvet Revolution' they write that "Any
president who embraces what Soros has described as 'the bubble of American
supremacy,' is an enemy of the 'open society' as Soros and his political allies
define it. Indeed, any president who, like Bush, is a believing Christian,
qualifies as an enemy of Soros' utopia as well. Just before the 2004 election,
Soros told the New Yorker, "The separation of church and state, the
bedrock of our democracy, is clearly undermined by having a born-again
President."
Barack Obama was hand picked by George Soros. We are in for a wild ride.

being one of the New Left's founders to who he is today so I went looking for a
biography. Here are some quotes from Tendays Komyathy's review of Horowitz's

The last chapter in "The Shadow Party' by David Horowitz and Richard Poe
tells how George Soros manufactured coups in half a dozen nations, Slovakiain
1998, Croatia in 1999, Yugoslavia in 2000, Georgia in 2003, Ukraine in 2004,
and Kyrgyzstan in 2005. This was all for the sake of his one world 'Open
Society'.
Earlier chapters tell of how he became known as 'The man who broke the bank of
England' and of how his corruption and manipulation bankrupted Russia. Why is
this important in regard to Obama? Because as far as I can tell, Obama, ACORN
and other parts of the Shadow Party are simply tools by which Soros has done
the same thing to the United States.
Rush Limbaugh was right yesterday when he didn't bother to parse Obama's words.
They are meaningless. They don't mean a thing. Even apart from the fact that
pathological narcissists lie, and lie, and lie, and lie, and lie, and lie there
is the fact that George Soros set himself to undermine our constitutional
government, for our own good, of course. He simply wanted to implement his
'Open Society' here, to enusre 'social justice, to 'keep the flame of freedom
alive, to stop government abuse, and to eliminate this nation's ability to
oppress the world. Obama was his choice to implement the coup.
Too bad for Hillary. She so much wanted to be his choice. And too bad for us.

I'm currently reading "The Shadow Party - How George Soros, Hillary
Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party" by
David Horowitz and Richard Poe. It's been another eye opener; like last October
when I began doing research on Barack Obama. ('A Vet Looks at Barack Obama').
Learning about Barack Obama got me politically involved again. Learning about
George Soros - the 'man who broke the Bank of England.' is even more
interesting. David Horowitz and Richard Poe also credit him as a primary
manipulator behind the corruption and crash of the Russian economy leading to
its present move back into a dictatorship.
The Cloward-Piven strategy aims to destroy a financial or political system by
overloading it to the point where it simply breaks down. ACORN did it with the
financial system with the demand that banks make bad loans to people who
couldn't afford them. ACORN has done it with our electoral system, with who
knows how many fraudulent registrations and votes.
So, don't be fooled. It's not a matter of fairness, or mercy, or sharing the
wealth or any of the other high sounding terms that might be used. It's at base
a purposeful strategy to destroy this nation.

First of all, it needs to be understood that Barack Obama is a creation of
George Soros and to a lesser degree Bill Ayers. Understanding that and
understanding the hatred that these two men (three including Obama) have for
the United States and all it stands for, one can begin to understand that the
purpose of the stimulus has nothing to do with helping the United States
recover from an economic downturn.
It has everything to do with crippling our economy permanently. It has
everything to do with crippling our ability to wage war against Islamic
terrorism. It has everything to do with our ability to act as a world power.

I like Sarah Palin. I appreciate her attitude, her philosophy of life. She's
one of us, the great majority of Americans who love God and love this country.
And that by itself gives her far more credibility as a leader than a Harvard
educated elitist who hates God and hates this country.
As for the McCain campaign. She was hobbled. She had both legs shackled and
both hands tied behind her back. I don't think McCain wanted to win this
election. He sure didn't act like it. Rush Limbaugh said that he was chosen by
cross-over Democrats and Independents. He was selected by people who wanted him
as the Republican candidate but weren't about to vote for him in the
presidential election.
He's been active with George Soros' Shadow Party. The McCain-Feingold Act was a
fraudulent Shadow Party initiative to cripple political free speech. "From
the beginning, McCain-Feinfold was a political Trojan Horse...Its actual
purpose, to use Soros' words, was to curb the 'use of TV advertising' in
American politics." 'The Shadow Party' pg 136
And in 2000 he was the keynote speaker at the Philadelphia Shadow Party

The final straw for me though, was watching how he covered for Obama under the
guise of running 'an honorable' campaign. Sarah Palin will always be hated by
those who hate God and hate this nation, including elitist economic
conservatives. She stands for all the best in it. I hope we see more of her in
national politics and that when we do there's a lot of prayer being lifted up
for her.

I wish I could agree, but I think Dutch Sheets put it best in his post election
letter.

America was offered a very clear choice between moving further toward
protecting the unborn or further away; between a Supreme Court that would move
toward honoring God, life and morality or away from it. The stakes couldn’t
have been higher nor the cost greater. As a nation we put on blinders
concerning Barak Obama’s background, associations, beliefs and practices, and
set these causes back years, possibly decades. And in doing so we took another
step away from God and His plans for America, and another step toward
judgment."
There are a lot of good people, including young people, in these United States.
People who love God and love this country. People who are upright, moral, good
neighbors, and fine citizens.
Unfortunately, right now, the others are in the ascendancy in the educational
realm, in the political realm, and in the cultural realm. Part of the reason is
simply their dedication. Hate for this country, its morality, its position in
the world, and everything else it stands for can be a tremendous motivator.
And unfortunately, too many of us who go to church, who consider ourselves fine
moral citizens have let a particular teaching cripple our ability to actively
engage the culture and politics of our nation. It's called 'we're in the last
days'. The Anti-Christ is coming. And things 'have to get worse'.
But how about we listen to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and do things

There's a virus working to destroy our culture. It's called by various names,
liberalism, gay-agenda, socialism, big government, fairness, share the wealth,

McCandlish Phillips in 1970 wrote a book "The Bible, the Jews, and the

In the last 40 years there's been another revolution in the hearts and minds of

by their purposeful misunderstanding of Doug Giles point and by their hostility
to Christianity. So, I decided I'd repeat another post from my snippets.
I'm reminded of a trilogy (The Underground Zealot Series) I read a few years
ago by Jerry Jenkins. He wrote it after coauthoring the "Left Behind"
series with Tim Lahaye. In the series in an effort to assure continued peace on
earth all religion throughout the world has been outlawed. No religion means no
war which means peace on earth. All religious 'extremists' are strongly
persecuted. The church has been driven underground and one of it's main
persecutors is the hero of the series - Paul Stepola. He works for the National
Peace Organization. With unlimited resources, he is determined to expose
religious zealots, flush them out, expose them, and destroy them. But then his
life is turned upside down, and his whole world view is transformed."
I consider this scenario in which the Christian church is strongly persecuted
to be much more likely than the Left Behind scenario in which the church is
'raptured' and then the really tough times begin.
Part of my reason is that I hold the church and dispensational last days
teaching to be a major part of the problem. Jesus called us to be salt and
light. He said "You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if
it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and
trampled underfoot as worthless."
When we started believing that 'things have to get worse' and separated
ourselves, or allowed ourselves to be separated, from the culture we ceased to
be salt and as a result we are being trampled underfoot.

the American Left. That got me curious about Barack Obama. Finding out that he
was supporting Odinga in his campaign promising Sharia in Kenya motivated me to
compile as much as I could find out about him. I presented my findings at

Draw the Line?" from Feb. 20, 2009. The defense lawyer, Rene Duval, for a
Quebec man, Said Namouhm accused of terror activities. Mr. Duval doesn't
question that he was involved in terrorist activities. His defense is that
terrorism is so foundational to his faith that it's a matter of religious
freedom.
"Evidence before the court shows that Mr. Namouh was driven by a
fervent faith, one that saw as enemies Christians, Jews and even Muslims who
did not share a desire for the creation of pan-Islamic rule."

remember from a few years ago. It had caught my attention because of the irony
in Muslims killing nuns to prove that they were non-violent.

that wants to make a moral equivalence between Islam and other religions like

Adam and Eve. The difference is that it's not foundational in the teachings of
most religions. It is foundational to Islam. Mohammed told his Islamist armies

Count on the Constitution by Michael Barone
This column about the Constitution started me thinking about its fragility.
John Adams made it clear: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral
and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any
other."
And that understanding is nothing new. Ed Kaitz wrote an article on
AmericanThinker.com - "How Democracies Become Tyrannies" based on Plato's explanation of the individual soul and its
connection to the state. "In the Republic, two young men, Glaucon and
Adeimantus, accompany the much older Socrates on a journey of
discovery...During the course of their adventure,...they are gradually exposed
to deeper and more complex teachings regarding the relationship between virtue,
self-sufficiency, and happiness. In short... justice and happiness in a
community rests upon the moral condition of its citizens. This is what Socrates
meant when he said: "The state is man writ large."
John Adams also said that "The Revolution was effected before the
War commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a
change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. This
radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the
people, was the real American Revolution."
In the last 40 years there's been another revolution in the hearts and minds of
the American people. This revolution was a rejection of the God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob. And it was a rejection of His morality. Dutch Sheets wrote after this last election: "America was offered a
very clear choice between moving further toward protecting the unborn or
further away; between a Supreme Court that would move toward honoring God, life
and morality or away from it."
We chose to move away from it.

Testing Obama by Bill O'Reilly
It's amazing as I read "The Shadow Party" how much George Soros has
been able to manipulate public opinion and action in the United States. He says
the markets will fall, while shorting them so that he'll make money while they
fall, and they fall. He compares the Bush administration to Nazi Germany
(October 2003) and immediately his puppets echo that Bush is the worst
totalitarian president we've ever had - worst even than Hitler, while at the
same time being totally incompetent.
The truth is available for anyone who wants to see it. Look at what I did in
just a few weeks before the election in 'A Vet Looks at Barack Obama'. Although
I have to admit it may take a little bit of work because you're not going to
get the full truth (perhaps not any of the truth) from the main stream media.
Bush was not a perfect president. No president ever has been. They are all
human beings. Some do better than others. Bush fulfilled his primary mission,
which was keeping this country safe from another attack. For this he was
vilified, and is still being vilified, by those who hate this country and all
that it stands for.
I hope, by God's grace, to be as hated some day. In other words, Robert,
thanks. You just paid me an excellent complement.
As for the financial crisis, manipulators like George Soros, and his puppets in
the Democratic party were far more responsible for what happened than George
Bush. The evidence is there. You just have to be open to it.

I was just at the DrudgeReport.com. The first heading is "SOROS: ECONOMIC
TURBULENCE WORSE THAN GREAT DEPRESSION..." in which George Soros says that
he "sees no bottom for world financial 'collapse'".
I'm not sure why he wants to continue causing the downward spiral of our
economy. My guess is that the more discontent and disorder coming from the
financial crisis, the more justification there will be for the 'Civilian
National Security Force That's Just As Powerful, Just As Strong, Just as
Well-funded ' as our military. And it has to happen now. Absolute control
over this nation has to happen now, before the people begin to wake up and vote
these radicals back out of office.
To understand Barack Obama and his policies and his actions of the last month
you have to understand George Soros. To understand George Soros, I recommend
the book 'The Shadow Party - How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties
Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party' by David Horowitz and Richard
Poe. I checked it out of our local library.
Another book I like for these times if "America's Real War" by Rabbi
Daniel Lapin. In it he makes an excellent case that 'Judeo-Christian values
are vital for our nation's survival'.
We are at war. We need to know our true enemy. We need to know the weapons of
our warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4) and how to use them. "For we are not
fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and
authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and
against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 NLT.

George Soros decided that it was time to take over this nation. What David
Horowitz and Richard Poe in their book call 'The Shadow Party' had control of
Congress. It had control of the mass media. It had control of the financial
markets.
Thus his hand picked candidate. This candidate had been carefully groomed for
25 years. It was time that he take his rightful place at the head of this
nation. Under the control of the right people, this nation could no longer
'kill innocent civilians' throughout the world. This nation would no longer be

George Soros on September 29, 2003 called for "'regime change in the
United States.' He charged that 'extremists' had seized the American government

George Soros is undoubtedly sincere in his hatred for the United States and his
desire to make it powerless and helpless before the threats of this world. So
is Bill Ayers when he says that he only regrets that he didn't do more. But we
need to be wise. History shows what happens to "protesters" when
these kind of people gain power. Obama wants a civilian defense service larger
and better armed than the military. What do you think that's for?

the graduating class at Harrow School. In it he said: "never give

I've just started reading "The Shadow Party - How George Soros, Hillary

before I found something pertinent to understanding what George Soros, Bill
Ayers, and other leftists have done through their puppets.

Mysterious Khmer by Mona Charen
Reading this column reminded me of the movie 'The Devil's Arithmetic' staring
Kirsten Dunst and Brittany Murphy. I found the movie absolutely riveting. Lloyd
Chesley in his editorial review on Amazon says. "Kirsten Dunst plays
Hannah, a modern teen more concerned with trends than history. During the
traditional Passover dinner, she zones out as her relatives harp about
concentration camps. But then Hannah passes through a portal to the past, where
she becomes her own ancestor in Poland during the Nazi persecution of the Jews.
Director Donna Deitch provides an infinite library of Holocaust detail,
re-creating the period with minute dedication. Haunting images, every costume,
every hair, every light and shadow conspire to maintain a sense of desolate
desperation. Suspense pervades as escapes fail and mothers with newborns are
taken away. Only the magical context of the story, taken from the original children's
novel by Jane Yolen, allows for a life-affirming ending. The performances may
not be multifaceted but, considering the single-mindedness of the tale, the
deep commitment of the actors makes every moment real and meaningful. Dunst
seems able to carry a movie herself, and Brittany Murphy is mesmerizing as
Hannah's sweet cousin Rivkah. The message is powerfully direct, but the film
avoids extreme violence in deference to young audiences. The theme is enshrined
in the Rivkah's words: "We must stay alive to tell everyone what we've
been through." Indeed, when Hannah returns to the present, she is a new
woman, with a profound love of her culture and a religious respect for the
value of all human life."
I'm grateful for our Judeo-Christian heritage. History is too full of the story
of the death and destruction that result when that heritage is either moved
away from or was never in the life of a nation to begin with.

You have Khalid Al-Mansour who sponsored Obama's entrance into Harvard. He was
a Black Muslim and Black Nationalist who was a “mentor” to the founders of the
Black Panther party at the time the party was founded in the early 1960s.

NPR recently had an interview with Bruce Marks in which they celebrated his leadership in being a 'bank
terrorist'.
Morning Edition, February 6, 2009 · One of the more colorful characters in the
ongoing financial crisis is Bruce Marks. He runs a housing nonprofit that helps
people avoid foreclosure. And he has some unorthodox tactics. Over the years,
Marks has camped out on the front lawns of CEOs, made big scenes at their country
clubs and dug into their personal lives to embarrass them. Marks has even been
called a "bank terrorist."
And don't forget Barack Obama's role in forcing banks to make suicidal loans.

be better armed and larger then the United States military. Rahm Emanuel has

It seems like such a basic principle. You don't spend money you don't have. You
don't buy houses that you can't afford. We know what happens when individuals
break that principle. Individuals may, thanks to credit, get away with it for a
while. But the day of reckoning always comes.
Why would it be any different for nations or governments? The Federal, State,
and Local governments have constantly increased the tax burden on the American
people, at least those who have an income and pay taxes. And yet it's never
enough. Why, because there's always something else to buy, something
unaffordable but 'desirable', if only to buy more support from a special
interest group.
Liberals have been very liberal with our money and with our national credit.
For a while it looked like George Bush and the Republicans were almost as
financially liberal as the Democrats. But this 'stimulus' farce shows that the
Republicans aren't even in the same ball park.

causes. I get annoyed when I see liberals, after having caused the crisis using
it to further destroy the economy of this nation. I get extremely annoyed when

Remember when the Community Reinvestment Act started forcing banks to make bad
loans. Remember Barack Obama's part in that as a Community Organizer when he sued Citibank to force it to make bad loans.
Remember when the Main Stream Media started headlining the recession, when the
MSM began trying to create a recession by instilling fear in the American
investor and the population as a whole about the coming recession. It was in
2006, 2 years before there was any sign of a recession or a depression. Why
would the MSM work so hard to cause a loss of investor confidence? "Media Myth: The Recession/Depression of
2006 Hint: It Never Happened".
Remember that even with all the negative publicity the MSM focused on the
economy in 2006 and 2007, it still took Senator Charles Schumer to actually
trigger an economic downturn when he forced a run on IndyMac in June.
Remember when Paul Kanjorski revealed that on 9/11/2008 there was a $550 billion electronic run
on the banks and that was what caused the economic crisis.
Remember the Cloward-Piven strategy. David Horowitz summarizes the Cloward
Piven strategy as: "The strategy of forcing political change through
orchestrated crisis. The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy' seeks to hasten the fall of
capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible
demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse."

every crevice of an individual citizen's life. But no one has caught what
should be blindingly obvious: We have unilaterally disarmed ourselves of the
financial power to wage war. The cost of this bill surpasses the total outlay
of the combined wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and will serve as the irrefutable
excuse for Obama's previously-expressed desire to de-weaponize our military. As
the bill's costs mount - in welfare payments, health expenses, union kickbacks
and more - we will simply be unable to summon the financial strength to answer
attacks on our country."
But then, we shouldn't be surprised. The evidence was there that Barack Obama
doesn't have the best interests of our nation at heart, before the election.

therefore, my stomach is real. But the absolute moral order is not real. It is
purely within me.' Says Lewis, 'If I take these men in their arguments, they
will produce a generation of men with brains, men with stomachs, men with no
heart, men without chests.'
Lewis is right. When we rob the universe of a moral structure, we rob our own
hearts. And to connect this to yesterday's thoughts on wonder as the first
component of meaning we may say: When naturalism robs this world of its
God-given design and essential goodness, we are robbed of our own capacity for
wonder, and thereby we are crippled in our search for meaning."
We've been quite adapt in our education, in our media, and in our culture in
producing 'men without chests', men without courage and integrity because they
lack a moral center. Democrats long ago became enslaved to a godless, immoral
philosophy of life. There's still a battle for the soul of the Republican
party.
The question is, who will win? The 'pragmatists' willing to do whatever it
takes to 'win' or those who believe that there is a moral foundation to this
world and that we need to line up, as a nation, with that moral foundation. It
isn't just conservative principles. It's the moral foundation of those
principles in the heart of a man or woman that makes the difference.
The image of morality without a heart of morality kills. It kills the
individual and it kills the nation of which that individual is a part.

Some people still want this to be an honorable nation. I think John McCain was
among them. He ran an 'honorable' campaign. Which basically meant that his
opponent was free to use every dirty trick - "Chicago politics' without
fear of being outed or challenged. ACORN fraud? No problem. Natural born
citizenship? No problem. Bill Ayers? No problem. Islamist sponsorship into
Harvard? No problem. Support of Odinga and Sharia? No problem.
It's still true. Many people want to give our new leader 'a chance' in the hope
that he'll do the right thing. But, the evidence is there for any who are
willing to look. There is no honor.

Bob Dylan, in 1979 wrote a song "Gotta Serve Somebody" which he ended
with the words:
"You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody."
As a Christian, I believe he was right, you either serve the Lord or you serve
the devil. There are no other choices. Everything else is deception. We as a
nation, have for the last 50 years been fashioning idols with our own hands.
And we're about to reap the whirlwind. A nation doesn't sacrifice 50 million
babies to Molech and remain unscathed. A nation doesn't raise it's collective
fist against God and kick Him out of any place in its public life and remain
under His blessing and protection.
I've just return from Pamela Geller's Atlas Shrugs site. She starts with the
story of Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN, the founder and chief executive officer of
Bridges TV and a moderate Muslim who chopped his wife's head off. Then she has
a photo gallery of Islamic women who had been murdered by family members (honor killings).
It reminded me of a book I had before I was saved. I got rid of it when I
became a Christian, but some of the pictures in it are still seared on my
memory. It was Dagobert D. Runes "Despotism, a pictorial history of
tyranny".
A Godless world, or a world serving the wrong God, is a vicious world.

I'm just using my snippets this morning. I don't have any time to really think
things through before heading off to work.
Yesterday I listened once more to Yuri Bezmenov's 1984 interview on Communism's strategy to fully subvert a nation. Rather
you are liberal or conservative, I strongly encourage you to listen to it now.
It's about 16.5 minutes, but it's the most valuable 16.5 minutes you can spend
if you truly want to understand what's happened, and is happening, in the
United States. The fact that it was in reference to Communism doesn't minimize
it's importance. Of course, it won't change anyone's mind. Yuri Bezmenov
says that once a person has been fully subverted, they won't believe the truth
no matter how strong the evidence or rational the arguments. They've been
brainwashed.
But there is a power that can transform a person's full thought life so that
they are once more open to the truth. It's the power of the Holy Spirit
revealed in the good news about Jesus Christ. It changed Paul the Apostle. It
changed me in 1972. And it's the only real hope we have.

I've read two of her published prayers concerning Barack Obama and our nation.
The one before the election described the spiritual warfare going on for the
soul of this nation. The one after it models how we can in the power of God
pray with authority for Barack Obama without praying that he succeeds in his
foolishness.
Before election.

The one after it begins: "Father, You instructed us to pray for those
in authority, and we lift up Barack Obama. We thank You for the anointing that
has abided over the office of the president of the United States since the time
our forefathers dedicated this country to Jesus Christ. We pray that our new
president will abide under that same covering. We extend the common honor to
Obama that has been ascribed to all in his position." ... "Father, we
ask You to reveal Your Son Jesus to our new president as the only way to God.
We ask You to cause him to have a Saul-to-Paul experience. Release the pr*cks
and goads upon his heart at an accelerated pace so that his heart will turn to

Jenkins describes is far more likely than some pre-tribulation rapture.
There is a war against God and Christianity in this nation. But as Christians
we need to remember the weapons of our warfare. "We are human, but we
don't wage war as humans do. We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons,
to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false
arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God prescribes His way to heal a nation. Any way that

I've just finished listening to Yuri Bezmenov's 1984 interview again. Rather you are liberal or conservative, I strongly
encourage you to listen to it now. It's about 16.5 minutes, but it's the most
valuable 16.5 minutes you can spend if you truly want to understand what's
happened, and is happening, in the United States. The fact that it was in
reference to Communism doesn't minimize it's importance.
As for talk of armed revolution, forget it. All that does is reinforce the
power of the enemies of this nation, both demonic and human.

I've been reading the columns and the comments. Plenty of room for despair and
anger. But, I've been reminded of where I was emotionally and philosophically
in the late 60's and early 70's. I was a Vietnam Veteran who had been
tear-gassed 5 times in Chicago during the Democratic convention. I had been
co-founder of an anarchist club at the Junior College, been elected with a
radical slate of candidates to student government, and had defended a Black
Panther who had been brought up on charges before the student court for
lowering the flag to half mast when Fred Hampton had been murdered in his bed
by the Chicago police.
I remember at U.C. Riverside in 1970 getting drunk and saying what I really
thought about the United States, our vicious imperialism, and the destruction
we were bringing on ourselves by our fascist government, and capitalist
oppression. I was pretty radical.
It didn't happen, for which I'm grateful. God showed his mercy to me and to
this nation.
I don't think we can presume on his mercy any longer. But I do believe that his
prescription for the healing of a nation still stands. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I sympathize with Rudolf. I heard an interview a few weeks ago with Michael
Horton on Christless Christianity. Then I read an article
in which he asks: "What would things look like if Satan actually took
over a city?" He quotes Donald Barnhouse "...that all of the
bars and pool halls would be closed, pornography banished, pristine streets and
sidewalks would be occupied by tidy pedestrians who smiled at each other. There
would be no swearing. The kids would answer "Yes, sir," "No,
ma'am," and the churches would be full on Sunday ... where Christ is not
preached."
Reminds me of the movie "Pleasantville". Everythings black and white.
There's the appearance of life, but no real life - no color.
There's a transforming power and life in the Gospel that we don't see much in
the United States today. I was 25, with 11 years of Catholic parochial
education, before I first felt that transforming power - God's love. If,
because of a Christless Christianity, a person has never felt the love of God,
then of course he isn't going to believe in that God. All he or she has to
judge by is a poor colorless counterfeit, having the form of Godliness, but
lacking the power therefore.
Thus my emphasis on prayer and the Holy Spirit.

The difference between Jesus's ministry and that of today's liberal is that
with Jesus it was voluntary giving, based on the goodness of a person's heart,
i.e the Good Samaritan. With liberals giving is coercive, it's good to give to
the poor as long as it's someone else's money. It's called Marxism. "From
each according to their ability, to each according to their need." Or as
Obama put it: "Sharing the wealth."
As far as conservative giving versus liberal giving we'll compare just 4 fairly
famous people. Joe Biden to Sarah Palin and Barack Obama to John McCain. Gov.
Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, and her husband, Todd,
gave 1.5 percent of their income to charity in 2007 and 3.3 percent in 2006,
according to tax returns. By comparison to Joe Biden, Palin’s giving is
absolutely stellar. From 1998-2007, Joe Biden reported adjusted gross income
totaling $2,450,042. His total reported charitable gifts during that span were
a total of $3,690 – an average of just $369 annually or a little more than
one-tenth of one percent. Put another way, the Palins gave more than ten times
(on a percentage basis) to charity than did the Bidens.
If you look at Obama’s giving records through 2004 he consistently gave very
little (.4%-1.4%, especially when compared to McCain (28.6%, 27.3%). It looks
like Obama increased giving just in time to run for President.
It looks like conservatives live their talk when they give of themselves, but
liberals talk and talk and talk without giving much of themselves at all.

nonprofit that helps people avoid foreclosure. And he has some unorthodox
tactics. Over the years, Marks has camped out on the front lawns of CEOs, made
big scenes at their country clubs and dug into their personal lives to
embarrass them. Marks has even been called a "bank terrorist."

Before work yesterday, just the two of us getting to work early, a co-worker
came up to me and asked if I didn't think Obama was still just campaigning. I
said he had never learned how to do anything else; that he was just the front
for whoever was really controlling him whether it was George Soros, or the
Islamists who sponsored him through Harvard, or his radical leftist allies. I'm
afraid I may have been a little overbearing.
His response was: 'Well, I'm going to give him a chance."
Yet, we can see him following perfectly the path to our destruction. And he's
wasting no time in doing it.
Jerry Jenkins coauthored the "Left Behind" series. After that he
wrote The Underground Zealot Trilogy "Soon", "Silenced",
and "Shadowed" in which all religion was outlawed and Christians were
strongly persecuted worldwide. I personally think that's a much more likely
scenario than a pretribulation rapture.
We need to be as gentle as doves and as wise as serpents. We need to
reestablish the prayer covering over the United States that McCandlish Phillips
wrote about in "The Bible, the Supernatural, and the Jews". We need
to get back to our Christian roots. And we need to do it now before the real
persecution starts.

Jews'. The reason I call it apocryphal is because I remember reading it years ago,
but I couldn't find any reference to it on the internet this morning.
I did find reference to a book that I've had in my library for the last 30
years - "Jews, God, and History" by Max Dimont. After reading some of
the comments about the book on Amazon, I've pulled it out of my library and put
it at the top of my reading list. My wife just handed me a second book by Max
Dimont - "The Amazing Adventures of the Jewish People." Another book
about the Jews that was very influential in my becoming a Christian is
McCandlish Phillips - 'The Bible, The Supernatural, and the Jews'. Amazing
history, and apart from the hand of God, both in blessing and in judgment,
unexplainable.
Jesus said that Jerusalem would be trodden down by the Gentiles until the time
of the Gentiles was over. Paul said that when the Jews were brought back into a
true relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob it would be
blessing for the whole world. Romans 11:12
We're told as Christians to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, real peace, not
peace purchased by some phony deal. And we do pray.

Interesting story, and one more evidence of God's ability to reveal truth to
even the most hardened heart, if it's at all open. And one more evidence that
as Arthur Katz said in "Ben Israel", no true Christian has ever
persecuted a Jew.
Nick at 9:46 and others who think like him, read Brigitte Gabriel's
autobiographical "Because They Hate". Of course, you can always just
dismiss her story as one more conservative nut. But I'm hoping you don't.
Brigitte was born and raised in a Lebanese Christian family. The suffering and
persecution she and her family underwent with Islamic terrorism make her's a
compelling story. Part of her story is that she was raised to hate Jews and to
think the same way about Israel as many of the anti-Semites who have posted
here. Then she went to Israel and found out the truth.
The truth is there. You just have to be open to it.

I know Burt is a non-religious Jew - he's written so. But if we look at the
history of the Jews, we can't help but notice a special place in this world.
And, if we're honest, we have to admit a special hatred for the Jews and time

If we take both the Old and New Testaments seriously we have to believe in a
personal agent of evil. That personal agent - Satan, the devil, Lucifer - has

The devil has tried time after time to destroy Abraham's descendants and/or
their relationship to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Sometimes he's done
it by leading them into idolatry. Sometimes it's been by actual pograms - as in

As I look around at world events today, I can see the stage being set for

did Bill Clinton. And I, as I write this comment, can feel the anger and
despair behind many of these comments. If it weren't for my relationship with
the Lord, I'd be a lot worse off than I am.
Jesus said: "Remember, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; So
be as cunning as serpents and yet as harmless as doves." So, before we
despair or react foolishly in anger, let's get the mind of the Lord so we can

him.

The Bible starts with "In the Beginning God created the heavens and the
earth." And that really is the question. Did God create the heavens and
the earth? The big bang theory says that the universe had a beginning,
somewhere around 15 billion years ago. If so, then what existed before the
universe? The answer is easy for us Theists - God.
I'm not sure what the answer would be for someone against God - an atheist. Would
the atheist say that the universe came spontaneously out of nothing. Would he
say that it's a meaningless question? Would he simply get angry at the
stupidity of someone who would even dare ask the question?

I compiled a Profile of Barack Obama prior to the election that pretty well
summed up his character, his political philosophy, and his allies. So, there's
been no surprise at the priorities he's shown in his first three weeks in
office. Ann's book: "Godless - the Church of Liberalism" pretty well
sums up the Democratic party, so there's no surprise there either.
The question is: 'What do we do about it?' Do we give up on America?
"Goodbye, America! It Was Fun While It Lasted." Do we look for an
island somewhere that we can buy? Do we wait for the anti-Christ and the
rapture?
Or, do we look to our roots, to the Christian heritage on which this nation was
founded? The apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 "I urge you, first
of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them, intercede on their
behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in
authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and
dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be
saved and to understand the truth." NLT
I guess this includes Barack Obama and the Democrats.
Kim Daniels has an excellent prayer that can serve as a guide for starting to pray for Barack
Obama.
It's taken years for the enemies of our national soul to bring us to this
point. But it's not too late, for God can and has promised to restore us if we

It's a matter of two world views; secular humanism which would make man his own
God, and Christianity which would make God the source of all creation. And
there really can be no reconciliation between the two. I would suggest that
anyone who thinks that evolution isn't at war with Christianity (i.e. with God)
watch Ben Stein's "Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed" or Ann
Coulter's chapters on evolution in "Godless - The Church of
Liberalism".
The process by which God created the world is not the issue. It's the absolute
demand by evolutionists that there is no intelligence underlying existence; that
random mutation and 'Natural Selection' or 'Survival of the Fittess" are
the only possible mechanisms to explain the variety of life on this world.

Christian heritage we have which is the foundation for this freedom. I'm
grateful for Rush Limbaugh and to others who express truth each day. I'm
grateful to a God who has been good to me and to my family.
I'm not grateful for people who, under the guise of tolerance, and separation
of church and state, and social responsibility, and fairness, and political
correctness are trying to rob this nation of its freedom. I'm not grateful for
an educational system that teaches our children that there is no God, that
there is no truth, and that the United States has always been a horrible
oppressor and destroyer of other nations and this planet's resources.
I'm not grateful for a government that believes that it needs to impose
equality of outcome on each individual in this nation by 'sharing the wealth'.
I'm not grateful for Marxism, Socialism, Athiesm, and other isms that promise a

their country clubs and dug into their personal lives to embarrass them. Marks
has even been called a "bank terrorist."
Another bank terrorist in his younger days as a community organizer was Barack
Obama, as when he sued Citi-Bank to force it to make bad loans under the
Community Reinvestment Act.
Liberals destroyed the health of our economy with the 'mercy' they showed, and
forced banks to show, to those who couldn't afford to own homes. Now they're
going to fix the economy by continuing to help the banks do good. The
'stimulus' is really all about control. Who's got the control. Liberals,
Marxists, and Socialists think the government, being the source of everything
good, needs to have that control and act accordingly. For those of us not

by Paulson and Bush. The rest is history. But who was behind that run and why

The 'stimulus' package is simply a continuation of the strategy. And for the
most part, we as a nation, have already fallen for it. It worked.
If you want to be part of the solution, the real solution, then here's a
prescription. Turn to God, pray and fast. Join with others in prayer and
fasting. Pray for Barack Obama, and not just about him. Pray for our economy.
Pray for our culture.

schools had been subverted, the press had been subverted, the culture has a
whole had been subverted. Brent Bozell has written extensively on the
subversion of our culture by Hollywood.
The Christian Church has been subverted. We, as Christians have allowed
Dispensational teaching, and the desire for our own comfort, to render us
powerless to act as salt and light in this society. I don't know how many times
I've heard. "It has to get worse" because of last days prophecy
teaching.
The Lord, in the last few days has been dealing with me about praying for
Barack Obama and not just about him. I'd like to suggest Kimberly Daniels published prayer as a model. God's prescription for the reversal of
this subversion, for the healing of our nation, is given in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
It's addressed to His people, who are called by His name. It isn't criticism,
or even political activism. It's repentance, prayer, and fasting.

There's only really one solution for 'Politically Correct' thinking. It's a

than just giving lip service to the fact that He does, or may, exist and going
to church on Sunday. It means entering into a personal relationship with Him

I get the feeling in reading some of these Town Hall columns and the comments that
we conservatives still aren't facing the true problems or the true solutions.
We're having fun criticizing and coming up with solutions that really don't
solve anything.
Some of us seem to think that if things get bad enough then this nation will reject
Liberalism and Obama and return to its true roots.
Or, if we are Christians who have bought into the whole Dispensational last
days fulfillment of prophecy scenario, we almost welcome things as they get
worse because it means we'll soon be raptured. We miss the fact that we're in a
spiritual battle with Satan, that we were commanded by Christ to conduct
business until He returns, that we are to be salt and light in whatever culture
He has placed us, and that if we cease to be salt we're not good for anything
except to be trodden underfoot.
For me, the whole Dispensational Last Days fulfillment of prophecy doctrine was
simply a diabolical tactic of Satan to get Christians to disconnect from our
culture, to passively watch as our children were subverted, and to watch charts
and read 'prophetic' books as our nation became more and more Godless.
Now what's really going on?

concerned. He said that he was just a little bird flying around in a flock of
birds." He said I was "a B-52 bomber". I laughed ruefully and
said: "Yeah, I am above the radar."
I'd like to share, I hope it's ok, an email I received a couple of days ago.
It's meant a lot to me.
Dear Mr. Long
I've been reading your comments on Townhall.com since before the election, and
just read your "A Vet Looks at Barack Obama" page. Thank you for your
efforts in compiling such a comprehensive list of wake-up calls that the media
chose to ignore. In the fall, I was filling notebooks with similar stories,
hoping that my 'hope-and-change'-duped friends (and husband!!!) would be
interested. Unfortunately, they saw me as a mis-informed boob driven by
Limbaugh-induced hysteria. Whatever...the damage is done. Now each day brings
one more sad validation that my deep-seated fears were well-founded. However,
as a Christian, too, I cling to a line from one of my favorite hymns,
"This is My Father's World","...but though the wrong seems oft
so strong, God is the ruler yet."/ Unless and until we return to Him as
the foundation for everything we do, as a nation and as individuals, we cannot
expect things to improve, and, with this new "change America
fundamentally" administration, I'm afraid we are no longer 'slouching
toward Gomorrah", but running a sprint. I wonder how far God will allow us
to sink, but I do have faith that He will keep his promise to "work all
things together for good" - I just fear for my children and all the others
who will suffer greatly because of the choices and trickery of this dangerous,
deceitful president and his minions. May God help us!
So...keep up the good work...know that your research and opinions are much
appreciated! Our "Conservative Gals Breakfast Club" has it's first
meeting scheduled for this Saturday. We are trusting that, through shared
prayer and tears and fellowship, God will teach us how to survive this

Evolution, Intelligent Design, Creation - What's the truth? It's amazing how we
talk at each other without really hearing each other. Those who interpret the
Bible as saying that God created the world in 7 24 hour days have plenty of
evidence to back up their view. Intelligent Design proponents have plenty of
evidence to back up their view. Proponents of evolution have plenty of evidence
to back up their view.
When I look at sites like http://www.talkorigins.org (thanks Mod Mark) I don't
find anything to make me change my mind. And it's not because I'm against
thinking or against examining the evidence. Before I became one, I thought
Christians were ignorant and non-thinking. It's like I told God when He
encountered me in my own Damascus road experience - 'if you expect me to give
up thinking, you have the wrong person'.
It reminds me of what Thomas Kuhn wrote in The Structure of Scientific
Revolution about scientific paradigms. The paradigm, in Kuhn's view, is not
simply the current theory, but the entire worldview in which it exists, and all
of the implications which come with it. There are anomalies for all paradigms,
Kuhn maintained, that are brushed away as acceptable levels of error, or simply
ignored and not dealt with.
For all three positions, it's not 'scientific' evidence that is at the base of
an individual's choice- it's faith based upon a particular World View. And then
evidence presented and filtered to support that world view. Like I said before,
I personally have no problem with an old earth. I have no problem seeing
process in God's action of creation. The bible makes it clear that there was
process. But I do have a problem in any world view and any theory based on that
world view that replaces God with 'Natural Selection'. In other words, because
of my own Damascus road experience, for me 'In the beginning God...".

It seems like such a basic principle. You don't spend money you don't have. We
know what happens when individuals break that principle. Individuals may,
thanks to credit, get away with it for a while. But the day of reckoning always
comes.
Why would it be any different for nations or governments. The Federal, State,
and Local governments have constantly increased the tax burden on the American
people, at least those who have an income and pay taxes. And yet it's never
enough. Why, because there's always something else to buy, something
unaffordable but 'desirable', if only to buy more support from a special
interest group.
And who are we, as a nation, borrowing money from? Can we trust them to always
be generous with their money and their support? Can we trust them to always let
us do our own thing using their money?
The stimulus program can't possibly work, if for no other reason than that it's
spending money that doesn't exist for items that we don't need and that have
nothing to do with creating real jobs. And where there is real money it's
taking it from the private economy, the economy that actually drives economic
growth.
About the only thing the 'stimulus' will accomplish is increased misery as the
true economic engine of our nation is robbed of its needed resources and we go
deeper into national debt. Of course, then government will have to step in, to
quench the disorder resulting from the misery. I can see where Obama's civilian
defense corp might come in real handy. If we want a Marxist dictatorship, then
we're following the blueprint perfectly.

When I hear someone state categorically that 'evolution is a fact', my
immediate reaction is that either they have an agenda or they simply haven't
examined the facts for themselves. Evolution is foundational to an anti-God
world view. That's the agenda.
It's strongly promoted and protected as the only possible truth in our schools.
Teachers can be fired and school districts sued for even suggesting there may
be alternative explanations for our existence. That's where there's room for
ignorance.
I just finished reading Ann Coulter's book "Godless The Church of
Liberalism". She has several chapters on evolution, its frauds and the
legal extremes of its proponents in protecting it. She also lays out a strong
case for intelligent design.
But knowing how some who read these comments will react to Ann Coulter, I
decided to see what else I could find. Years ago I'd read some books by Dr.
Henry Morris, the Founder of The Institute for Creation Research. And I like
Ken Ham and "Answers in Genesis".
But I wanted a source that might have a little more credibility with certain
readers of this site, so once again a Google search on evolution and fraud.
What I found was "Hall of Shame for Evolution Fraud and Deceit" on
the University of Arkansas web site. If you want to know more about why
Evolution can't be considered 'a fact' read it.
I personally don't have a problem with an old earth. 500 billion years isn't
appreciably any closer to eternity than 15 billion years or 5 years or 5
seconds. I believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and perfectly true.
I don't believe we necessarily always interpret it correctly. And I do
definitely have a problem with any agenda that tries to completely remove God's
role in our existence.

helps people avoid foreclosure. And he has some unorthodox tactics. Over the
years, Marks has camped out on the front lawns of CEOs, made big scenes at
their country clubs and dug into their personal lives to embarrass them. Marks
has even been called a "bank terrorist."
If you don't mind getting mildly perturbed at liberal stupidity, you might
listen to the interview.
Another bank terrorist in his younger days was Barack Obama, as when he sued Citi-Bank to force it to make bad loans under the Community Reinvestment Act.
Liberals destroyed the health of our economy with the 'mercy' they showed, and
forced banks to show, to those who couldn't afford to own homes. Now they're
going to fix the economy by continuing to help the banks do good. The
'stimulus' is really all about control. Who's got the control. Liberals,
Marxists, and Socialists think the government, being the source of everything
good, needs to have that control and act accordingly. For those of us not
blinded by bleeding heart liberalism, there are historical precedents for what
happens when the government controls everything - Communist Russia, North
Korea, Iran, Iraq and on and on.

Vaknin, the author of "Malignant Self Love" in describing Obama as
displaying the following behaviors, which are among the hallmarks of
pathological narcissism:
- Subtly misrepresents facts and expediently and opportunistically shifts
positions, views, opinions, and "ideals". These flip-flops do not
cause him overt distress and are ego-syntonic (he feels justified in acting
this way)... evidences a lack of empathy.
- Ignores data that conflict with his fantasy world, or with his inflated and
grandiose self-image. This has to do with magical thinking. Obama already sees
himself as president because he is firmly convinced that his dreams, thoughts,
and wishes affect reality. Additionally, he denies the gap between his
fantasies and his modest or limited real-life achievements (for instance, in 12
years of academic career, he didn't publish a single scholarly paper or book).
- Feels that he is above the law.
- Talks about himself in the 3rd person singluar or uses the regal
"we" and craves to be the exclusive center of attention, even
adulation - Has a messianic-cosmic vision of himself and his life and his
"mission".
- Sets ever more complex rules in a convoluted world of grandiose fantasies
with its own language (jargon)
- Displays false modesty and unctuous "folksiness" but is unable to
sustain these behaviors (the persona, or mask) for long. It slips and the true
Obama is revealed: haughty, aloof, distant, and disdainful of simple folk and
their lives.
- Sublimates aggression and holds grudges.
- Behaves as an eternal adolescent (e.g., his choice of language, youthful
image he projects, demands indulgence and feels entitled to special treatment,
even though his objective accomplishments do not justify it).

The question is - What does he bring? Does he bring hope and change for good?

room for much concern.
There are those who see Obama as one of the 'healing people'. For them he is a
messiah who will lead this nation into a blessed unity. For others of us, he is

I don't know any New York Times writers, but I'd be surprised to find out that
they wake up each morning so full of hate for the United States and all it

I'm sure they really believe they are performing a public service. They are
simply trying to make the United States a better place to live by exposing
those things that are 'wrong'. Protecting ourselves against Islamic terrorists
in ways that aren't gentle and kind is just plain wrong. Harshly judging people
whose life style and decisions undermine the welfare of our nation is 'wrong'.
I'm sure they consider themselves to be servants of the people, helping to make
sure we are taught the 'correct' way to think and act. But they may as well be
purposeful traitors in exposing our intelligence secrets in the war against
terror. They may as well be purposely subverting our nation in glamorizing and
justifying those things that undermine the moral foundations and social health
of our nation.
They may be deluded. That doesn't make them any less dangerous to us or our

college in 4 quarters with a 3.5 average without studying. My first room mate
hoped I'd get an F because he figured that's what I deserved for the effort I
was putting in. It was that I couldn't even see or understand any real truth.
It just simply didn't make sense to me.
I don't think those who are undermining the economic stability of the United
States and turning it into a Marxist nation are waking up in the morning and
asking themselves - What can I do to today to destroy our nation? It's simply
that because they've rejected the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob they are
under a delusion.

In Acts 1:8 Jesus said: "But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me

On the day of Pentecost Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit and power gave one
speech and 3,000 listeners were convinced.
It isn't just talk that's needed, it's power. Right now, the Republican party
is bemoaning it's powerlessness. Conservatives are bewailing our helplessness
before the subversion of our youth and the lies of the main stream media.
I'm grateful for spokesmen who can present the truth. I'm grateful for Brigitte
Gabriel and the 'American Congress for Truth'. I'm grateful for Rush Limbaugh
and his EIB (Excellence In Broadcasting) network. I'm grateful for Pamela
Geller and her 'Atlas Shrugs' blog.
But there needs to be the power to actually convince. In my experience that
power comes only by prayer, and sometimes fasting. That's because there's a
spiritual reality that underlies what we see and hear. We can speak the truth
all we want, but without the power to actually change hearts and minds, we're
just spitting against the wind.

The issues about Obama that concern me the most are his 25 year affiliation with
Bill Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist, and his sponsorship into Harvard by Dr.
Khalid al-Mansour, a radical Islamist. Plus the fact that he hired 3 laws firms
and spent $800,000 so he wouldn't have to show his birth certificate or his
college transcripts. Who is this guy? What does he stand for?
Andy Martin, in his profile of the relationship between Obama and Ayers,
concluded that "William Ayers has been the mastermind behind Barack
Obama's rise to power in Chicago", and that "It can be said
without fear of contradiction, a vote for Barack Obama is in reality a vote to
put William Ayers in de facto control of the U. S government." If that
doesn't concern you, then watch Larry Grathwohl's interview on how Bill Ayers,
as head of the Weatherman underground, was planning to kill 25 million
Americans who couldn't be reeducated.
One item I would recommend for sure is Ali Sina's critique of Obama as a

'Kowtow' is such a loaded term. Too bad it's so appropriate. As for finding
moderate Muslims, as least those who aren't under a death sentence from some
Mullah - good luck with that.
Rather than present an argument for the historical violence of Islam, I'm going
to suggest that anyone who thinks that Islam is a peaceful religion read Paul
Fregosi's 'Jihad in the West: Muslim Conquests from the 7th to the 21st
Centuries'.
The peace promised by Islam is a peace that is possible only to those who are
submitted. The infidel (dhimmi) must either be made to submit, or enslaved for
their failure to submit. In an Islamic nation Sharia law is for everyone. Look
at Islam as it's practiced in the world today. Look at Mohammed and his
character and his actions. Look at the history of Islam from the 7th century
on. Look at its treatment of women. Look at its hatred for the Jews. Doing
that, my personal conclusion has been that Allah is simply another name for the
'Prince of Persia' as mentioned in the bible in the book of Daniel.
If that is the case, then to be submitted to Allah is to be submitted to a
demon prince. There is no place for moderation for those who are subject to
that slavery. Allah won't allow it.

In 1970, McCandlish Phillips, a Christian reporter for the New York Times,
wrote in 'The Bible, The Supernatural, and the Jews': "The first step
in the satanic takeover of a nation is to draw the people away from faith in
God and in His Word. The next stage is to increase them steadily in the
indulgence of sin. The third stage is to lead them into false worship and false
supernaturalism. The final stage is usually to bring them under dictatorship.
We are in the third stage now."
That was in 1970. With the election of Barack Obama, and the present Democratic
and RINO government, it looks like we are entering the fourth stage.
But, I'm more optimistic than what some of my comments would indicate. I'm
watching what is happening in my church and in other churches with which I'm
familiar. It looks like the Lord is waking His church up. Not to political
activism, or to critical comment, but to prayer and fasting. Frank Peretti's
books: 'This Present Darkness' and 'Piercing the Darkness' serve as excellent
fictional descriptions of the spiritual battle in which we find ourselves.
Pray and fast, then truly serve our country in the struggle for righteousness
and freedom in the strength, power, and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

I'm old enough and experienced enough in the things I've seen in my life to be
truly conservative. But why be conservative?
Limited government? What makes a limited government in and of itself any better
than unlimited government?
2nd Amendment? Is it really that important for us to be able to own guns?
Constitution? Is the Constitution really a fixed document? Or is it an evolving
document, meant to reflect the values of the culture for which it was written
and in which it is applied?
Gay-marriage? Why shouldn't gay relationships be afforded the respectability
and approval that comes with the word 'marriage'?
I could go on, but why bother?
I'm conservative because I believe in a God who gave certain inalienable rights
to us as beings made in His image. I believe in personal responsibility because
I believe that each one of us is responsible and accountable before God as to
how we live our lives. I'm conservative because I believe that government is
always trying, but should never be allowed, to take God's place as the great
care-giver and the source of everything good.
Again, I could go on, but to sum up: conservatism only makes sense if the God
of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is at the root of that conservatism.
God has given His prescription for the fixing of a culture. 2nd Chron 7:14. Do
we, as conservatives apply His prescriptions? Or, do we continue trying to fix
things on our own?

We've been quite adapt in our education, in our media, and in our culture in

The question is, who will win? The 'pragmatists' willing to do whatever it
takes to 'win' or those who believe that there is a moral foundation to this
world and that we need to line up, as a nation, with that moral foundation.

I don't like child molesters any more than any one else, but they are simply
one symptom of a society that has lost its moorings and is adrift in a moral,
cultural, and social wasteland.
The foundation of this nation was Judeo-Christian. That meant that, based on
God's Word and His law, there was a strict standard for right and wrong, and a
strictness in what to do with individuals who transgressed that standard.
Then, this nation moved away from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We
removed the ten commandments from our law (look at what happened to Judge Roy
Moore). We were left in a vacuum where the only law became "Let do what
thy will be the whole of the law." (Aliester Crowley in "The Theory
and Practice of Black Magic."
And that really is the bottom line for the cultural war in which we find
ourselves. Is there a standard by which we should and must live? A standard
that must be enforced. Or should we concede that the only rule is that everyone
does what is right in their own eyes?

I'm grateful for the freedom we have in this nation. I'm grateful for web sites
like this where we can freely express our thoughts. I'm grateful for the
Christian heritage we have which is the foundation for this freedom. I'm
grateful for Rush Limbaugh and to others who express truth each day. I'm
grateful to a God who has been good to me and to my family.
I'm not grateful for people who, under the guise of tolerance, and separation
of church and state, and social responsibility, and fairness, and political
correctness are trying to rob this nation of its freedom. I'm not grateful for
an educational system that teaches our children that there is no God, that
there is no truth, and that the United States has always been a horrible
oppressor and destroyer of other nations and this planet's resources.
I'm not grateful for a government that believes that it needs to impose

On a site like this with so many comments, I'm almost grateful for ranger29 and
those who respond to him. It means I can skip a post without having to worry
about what I might have learned if I'd read the post. Other posters I value a
great deal because I know I'll learn something from them.
It feels good to see so many who are beginning to recognize Obama for what he
truly is. But, I'd hate to see Obama serve as a distraction for the true
issues. Obama, by himself, didn't create the moral, cultural, and social
environment in which a Marxist could be elected. He's simply inherited the
benefits of that environment. We need to stay focused on the true enemy that is
out to destroy the United States as a 'Shining City Upon a Hill'.

take over total control of an economy. It's never been good.
It's in the nature of government, or at least of the bureaucrats within
government, to constantly try to increase the size of that government. For the
good of the people, of course.
Right now, it looks like we're in the process of selling our economic and
personal freedoms for the promise, and just the promise, that we'll have
continued comfort and security if we just trust the bureaucrats in the
government.
A bureaucrat, by definition, isn't interested in any solution that would lessen
his own control. It's up to an educated and involved electorate to exercise
that control.
